Lecturer Amy Horton in Western University’s Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing focuses on multiple mini interviews at nurse practitioner level, congestive heart failure management in long-term care, health assessment, and health promotion. Her work connects clinical education with practice-focused inquiry that supports strong preparation for nursing care across settings. Her research mission is to improve how future nurses are selected, assessed, and prepared for complex patient needs. Horton also teaches holistic and advanced health assessment and serves as Coordinator for Years 1 and 2 in the Western-Fanshawe Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
