BIO
Adjunct Research Professor Tania Larsen in Western University’s School of Physical Therapy researches acute care, early mobility, critical illness, chronic lung disease, and frailty. Her scholarship also includes grounded theory work on patient recovery after critical illness, examining how family, the care environment, and personal factors shape longer-term outcomes. Her research mission is to improve rehabilitation and patient care strategies for medically complex adults by better understanding recovery in and beyond acute care settings. Larsen’s work connects clinically grounded rehabilitation research with theory-informed approaches to recovery and quality of life.
