Melanie is an LIS practioner-scholar whose research interests in Library and Information Science (LIS) are closely connected to practice. Her research activiites have focussed on academic library leaderhip and advocacy, and more recently, investigating current LIS graduate curricula in Canada and its relation to the core competencies required in the field of LIS practice today.
