BIO

Professor John Paul Minda serves in the Department of Psychology at Western University. His research integrates cognitive psychology, categorization, and concept learning to understand how the human mind organizes information. He focuses on the mental processes involved in learning new categories and the impact of cognitive load on decision-making. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University at Buffalo, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience and the author of a leading textbook on the psychology of thinking. He supervises graduate researchers in the Minda Lab and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and collaborative projects in cognitive science.
