Professor Jason Gilliland serves in the Department of Geography and Environment at Western University. His research integrates urban health, geographic information systems, and community-based research to promote healthy environments for children and youth. He focuses on how urban design and food environments influence physical activity and nutritional behaviors in diverse populations. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from McGill University, he is cross-appointed to the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and the Faculty of Health Sciences. He directs the Human Environments Analysis Laboratory and is currently available for doctoral supervision and collaboration on public health and urban geography projects.
