Associate Professor Pari Basharat, Department of Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, focuses her research on autoimmune-mediated necrotizing myopathy, dermatomyositis, inflammatory myopathy, polymyositis, and rheumatology. Her core specialty is in myositis and she works within a research-active rheumatology group caring for both subspecialty and general patients. Her research mission is to improve diagnosis and care for patients with rare and complex inflammatory muscle diseases. She also serves as Program Director and contributes to clinical teaching and trainee development in rheumatology at Western University.
