Professor Achal Dhir, Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, works in liver transplantation, cardiac surgery, transfusion medicine, perioperative care, and anesthesia scholarship. This work is highlighted in his publications on antifibrinolytics, anemia and patient blood management in cardiac surgery, and his visiting professorship at a leading liver and biliary sciences institute. His research mission is to improve care for high-risk surgical patients through evidence-based perioperative management. He also contributes to teaching and academic leadership in anesthesia at Western University.
