Professor Zhifeng Ding, Department of Chemistry, Western University, is a leading analytical chemist whose research spans electrochemiluminescence, chemiluminescence, solar cells, ionic liquids, and scanning electrochemical microscopy. His program develops sensitive measurement strategies and luminescence-based methods that connect fundamental electrochemistry with materials science, chemical biology, and clean energy technology. His mission is to expand electrochemical tools for probing reactions, interfaces, and functional materials with greater precision. He supervises graduate researchers in an active chemistry group, holds the title of Science Faculty Distinguished Research Professor, and has received Western University recognition for research excellence.
