Associate Professor Ryan Degen conducts research in the Department of Surgery at Western University. His scholarly work focuses on orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and hip biomechanics, particularly the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement and joint preservation. He investigates the long-term outcomes of arthroscopic surgery in young, active populations. Holding a Medical Degree from Western University and specialized training from the Hospital for Special Surgery, he is a member of the Bone and Joint Institute. He supervises graduate students in the field of musculoskeletal health and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and research consultation for prospective students.
