Dr. Mal Evans is the Chief Scientific Officer at KGK Science and Adjunct Professor Western University London Ontario, Canada. She earned her M.Sc. and PhD in Physiology from the University of Guelph and received her D.V.M with Distinction in Physiology from the University of Sri Lanka. Dr. Evans pioneered research in chronobiology and her landmark work in this area was the first of its kind in North America. Dr. Evans brings her experience and knowledge in Evidence-Based Medicine into Evidence-Based Nutrition. Over the last 14 years with KGK Science, Dr. Evans has been instrumental in the ground-breaking, innovating science of the company and committed to ensuring the integrity of the research produced by KGK. Dr. Evans has been an active proponent in challenging the current guidelines that regulate the supplement industry. She is a thought leader and strategically leads her research team, harnessing and developing potential within KGK Science, in developing new research designs that better capture the multifaceted nature of dietary supplements for the promotion of health and wellness. As KGK Science moved into the cannabis space, under her leadership, KGK scientists have escalated their expertise in this space to stay relevant and competitive. Dr Evans is instrumental in moving KGK Science research to the virtual trial arena to accommodate participant-centered clinical trials. Currently, she is also leading research at KGK Science for resolution and recovery from SARS-2 corona virus by designing studies that incorporate nutraceuticals in the management algorithm for Covid-19. Health and wellness is a key role that she values personally and professionally and leads the company in incorporating the highest level of integrity in designing studies and in results interpretation in her goal of improving quality of life of participants and the community.
