Professor J. Robert Giffin serves in the Department of Surgery at Western University. His research program integrates orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and joint preservation to improve treatments for anterior cruciate ligament injuries and early osteoarthritis. He specifically focuses on the biomechanical outcomes of ligament reconstruction and osteotomy procedures. Having earned a Medical Degree from Western University, he is a core researcher in the Bone and Joint Institute and a member of the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic. He supervises graduate students exploring musculoskeletal health and is currently available for doctoral student mentorship and surgical research inquiries.
