Angela Borchert is an Associate Professor for German, Intercultural Communications and Comparative Literature at Western University. Borchert earned a Ph.D. in German Language and Literature and Comparative Liberature at Princeton University. Dr. Borchert researches everyday cultural and poetic practices in Weimar from 1750 to 1830, especially ephemeral media and the poetogenetic potential of environment. Borchert’s work on fashion journals, fashion history, dance, and occasional poetry gives her scholarship a distinctive cultural-historical focus.
