Professor Tianqing Peng, Department of Medicine with appointment in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on acute lung injury, sepsis, organ fibrosis, inflammation, and multiple organ failure. His laboratory studies molecular mechanisms of tissue injury and repair in severe inflammatory disease, linking basic pathology with translational questions in critical illness. His research mission is to identify pathways that can reduce organ damage and improve recovery in devastating systemic disease. He also contributes to graduate supervision in a department that emphasizes disease mechanisms and research training.
