Allan Pero, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of English and Writing Studies, and within the Centre for the Study of Theory and Criticism at Western University. He is also an actor, a visual artist and poet, influenced by Modernism, theory, and things he can’t name. Pero was trained as an actor, went on to study linguistics, and ultimately obtained a PhD in English literature. He researches literature and drama, modernism, psychoanalysis, critical theory, and spatial theory. He returned to theatre work in 2010 after a long hiatus from acting, and has since done both plays and narration / voice-over work.
