Assistant Professor Debbie Chiodo is a researcher at the Centre for School Mental Health within the Faculty of Education at Western University. Her scholarship focuses on school-based mental health screening and the evaluation of social-emotional learning programs for youth. By utilizing keywords like mental health screening, social-emotional learning, and Indigenous youth mentoring, she investigates sex differences in mental health and the impact of culturally relevant interventions. Dr. Chiodo’s mission involves promoting school success and wellbeing through community-based research partnerships.
