Dr. Selina Liu is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Department of Medicine, and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University. She is cross-appointed to the Program of Experimental Medicine and to the Lawson Health Research Institute. Dr. Liu is also the Medical Director of the Endocrine Pregnancy Clinic and Co-Director of the Diabetes Clinical Trials Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Dr. Liu obtained her medical degree at Queen’s University, Kingston in 2006 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine in 2010 and her fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism in 2011 at Western University. In 2011, she was the recipient of the Schulich Resident Research Career Development program award, which provided support for her research fellowship from 2011-2013. She subsequently completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology at Western University in 2014. She also completed a Master’s degree in Pharmacology & Toxicology at Western University in 2004 prior to her medical training.

Dr. Liu’s clinical and research interests include diabetes mellitus, insulin pump therapy, and women’s health & endocrine-pregnancy related disorders, especially diabetes in pregnancy.
