A graduate of the MD program at the University of Toronto (1999), Dr. Ali Islam completed his Radiology Residency training right here at Western. Before joining the department as Assistant Professor in 2005, Dr. Islam completed a fellowship in Cardiac Imaging at The Cleveland Clinic, an institution that was ranked number one for cardiac care in the United States for 20 consecutive years (1994-2014).
Dr. Islam has served on numerous committees within both the academic and clinical setting, including the Radiology Residency Program Committee. He has contributed greatly to the education program at Western, including supervising numerous residents and serving as the rotation supervisor for the PGY4 Cardiopulmonary rotation in Radiology.
Dr. Islam’s research interests include: Myocardial Stress CT Perfusion Imaging & MRI Manifestations of Musculoskeletal Infections.
