Professor Paul Frewen serves in the Department of Psychiatry at Western University. His research integrates post-traumatic stress disorder, neurofeedback, and clinical psychology to improve treatment for survivors of severe trauma. He focuses on the neural correlates of dissociation and the development of mindfulness-based interventions to regulate emotional states. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, he is cross-appointed to the Department of Psychology and affiliated with the Western Institute for Neuroscience. He supervises graduate students in clinical training and trauma research and is currently available for academic mentorship and consultation on the psychological impact of childhood maltreatment.
