Professor Jamie Melling is a researcher in the School of Kinesiology at Western University. His primary investigative work centers on exercise physiology, diabetes, and cardiovascular health with a focus on the therapeutic benefits of physical activity. He seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms by which exercise prevents diabetic complications and improves metabolic function. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, he is cross-appointed to the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology. He supervises graduate researchers in the Bone and Joint Institute and is currently available for academic mentorship in the field of chronic disease management.
