Dr. Walton teaches across the programs of Western's Master of Physical Therapy entry-level degree, Master of Clinical Science in Advanced HealthCare Practice post-professional degree, and Health and Rehabilitation Science thesis-based graduate degrees. Examples of innovation in university teaching include design and implementation of reflection-based pedagogies and development and implementation of Canada's first competency-based Masters degree program in Interprofessional Pain Management. He is consistently ranked amongst Western's leading teachers and has received several recognitions for his contributions to teaching and mentorship both within and outside of the university.
