BIO

Associate Professor Neil Duggal serves in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at Western University. His research program integrates spine surgery, spinal cord injury, and neuroimaging to enhance the recovery of motor and sensory function in patients with degenerative disc disease. He specifically investigates the neural reorganization that occurs following surgical decompression of the spinal cord. Holding a Medical Degree from the University of Ottawa, he is cross-appointed to the Department of Medical Biophysics and is a member of the Bone and Joint Institute. He supervises graduate students in biomedical engineering and clinical neuroscience and is currently available for academic mentorship.
