Professor Jacques Lamarche is an Associate Professor in the Department of French Studies, and the Inter-faculty Program in Linguistics at Western University. Lamarche earned his Ph.D in Linguistics at Université du Québec à Montréal and followed this with a postdoc at University of Toronto.
Dr. Lamarche researches linguistic theory, semantics, and the morphosyntax of French and English, with a strong focus on how formal linguistic structures generate meaning across languages. His research mission is to clarify the relation between syntax and lexical meaning through theoretical and descriptive study in French and English linguistics.
