Professor Maria Drangova serves in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University. Her research program integrates image-guided interventions, cardiovascular imaging, and magnetic resonance imaging to improve the treatment of heart rhythm disorders. She specifically focuses on developing real-time imaging tools for cardiac ablation procedures and surgical navigation. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, she is a scientist at the Robarts Research Institute and a member of the Bone and Joint Institute. She supervises graduate students in the field of biomedical engineering and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and research consultation for prospective graduate students.
