BIO
Professor Ian Cunningham is a researcher in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University. His primary investigative work centers on x-ray imaging, digital radiography, and image quality with a focus on optimizing the performance of diagnostic imaging systems. He seeks to develop mathematical models that describe the relationship between radiation dose and information content in medical images. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Toronto, he is a scientist at the Robarts Research Institute. He supervises graduate students in the field of medical physics and is currently available for academic mentorship and doctoral student inquiries regarding the physics of diagnostic imaging.
