Professor R. Terry Thompson serves in the Department of Medical Biophysics and the Bone and Joint Institute at Western University. His research focuses on magnetic resonance imaging and the study of musculoskeletal health and disease. He investigates quantitative MRI techniques to assess bone quality and the impact of chronic conditions on joint integrity. His mission is to advance diagnostic precision through the development of biophysical imaging markers. Dr. Thompson provides extensive research supervision for graduate students and is a leader in musculoskeletal imaging at the Robarts Research Institute. He utilizes advanced imaging to monitor therapeutic responses.
