Professor Brian Shilton, Department of Biochemistry, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, works in protein biochemistry, structural biology, macromolecular structure and dynamics, macromolecular crystallography, and protein function. He is Director of the Macromolecular Crystallography Facility and works within a research group that studies proteins and protein systems at atomic and molecular levels in relation to disease. His research mission is to explain how molecular structure drives biological function and dysfunction. He also supports research training and infrastructure through facility leadership that serves a broader scientific community.
