BIO

Dr. Sonny Cejic grew up in Windsor before coming to London to study at Western University. He graduated with a M.Sc. (Reproductive Physiology) and B.Ed (Highschool).  He attended medical school in Toronto and graduated in 1996.  Dr. Cejic then returned to London for his family medicine residency at the Byron Family Medicine Centre. He stayed on at Byron Family Medicine Centre after his residency to serve as a locum MD and several years after, replaced Dr. Tom Freeman, as Dr. Freeman became chair of the Department of Family Medicine. Today, Dr. Cejic is the medical director of the Byron Family Medical Centre.

Dr. Cejic has had a long-time interest in technology, especially computers in medicine (Medical Informatics) and electronic medical records. This passion has led him to help design/author medical websites, teach about Medical Informatics to both residents/faculty, and help get medical centres to use electronic medical records.  Dr. Cejic’s research focus is in electronic medical records, patient portals and AI in medicine.
