Dr. Denise Connelly, PhD, PT Reg. (Ont.) is a Full Professor, School of Physical Therapy, Western University. Dr. Connelly’s community-based research aims to promote quality care for older adults living in long-term care through stability in the long-term care workforce, resilience, and strengthened care partnerships. Her research addresses workforce retention, individual and professional resilience, engagement of family/care partners in care, and structural factors impacting organizational practices and workplace culture. Professor Connelly collaborates with researchers from nursing, occupational science, and social work, and holds partnerships with family/care partner advocates, nurses, administrators, and a professional nursing association.
