BIO

Professor Kevin Shoemaker is situated in the School of Kinesiology at Western University. His research specializes in autonomic neurovascular control, cardiovascular physiology, and brain blood flow, focusing on the regulation of blood pressure in health and disease. He works to understand how the brain and heart communicate to maintain vascular stability during physical stress. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Waterloo, he is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair. He supervises interdisciplinary projects in the Western Institute for Neuroscience and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and consultation on neurovascular health and autonomic function.
