Assistant Professor Michael Szekeres is a researcher in the School of Occupational Therapy at Western University. His primary investigative work centers on upper extremity rehabilitation, hand therapy, and clinical outcomes following musculoskeletal trauma. He seeks to develop effective splinting and therapeutic protocols that enhance functional recovery for patients with hand and wrist injuries. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, he is an affiliate of the Bone and Joint Institute. He teaches courses in occupational therapy practice and supervises graduate students in the field of upper limb biomechanics, and he is currently available for academic mentorship.
