BIO
Associate Professor John Ronald serves in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University. His research program integrates molecular imaging, synthetic biology, and cancer research to develop innovative technologies for the early detection of tumors. He specifically focuses on the design of "smart" reporter genes and biosensors that can track the behavior of cancer cells and gene therapies in vivo. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, he is a scientist at the Robarts Research Institute and cross-appointed to the Department of Oncology. He supervises graduate researchers in the field of molecular medicine and is currently available for doctoral mentorship.
