Jan Plug is Professor of English and Associate Dean, Academic, Faculty of Arts & Humanities at Western University, where he also teaches at the Centre for the Study of Theory and Criticism. Dr. Plug researches nineteenth- and twentieth-century English and German literature, Romanticism, Modernism, German Idealism, and deconstruction. His research mission is to connect literary study with philosophy and theory, showing how Romantic and modern texts engage questions of history, subjectivity, and interpretation.
