BIO
Professor David W. Litchfield, Department of Biochemistry and Department of Oncology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on signal transduction, precision oncology, protein kinase inhibitors, phosphoproteomics, and biomarker identification. His work examines how signalling pathways control cell proliferation and survival and translates those findings into cancer-relevant biomarker discovery and functional proteomics. His research mission is to turn molecular insight into better strategies for cancer diagnosis, targeting, and treatment. He is also Director of Research Infrastructure at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, previously trained as a postdoctoral scholar at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the University of Washington, and holds a PhD from Western University.
