BIO

Professor Blaine Chronik is a researcher in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western University. His primary investigative work centers on magnetic resonance imaging, medical physics, and electromagnetics, with a focus on the hardware design of MRI systems. He seeks to develop innovative gradient and radiofrequency coils to improve imaging speed and safety. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, he is cross-appointed to the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He supervises students in the Bone and Joint Institute and the Robarts Research Institute, and he is currently available for graduate student mentorship.
