BIO

Hassan Razvi MD FRCSC is a Professor in the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. He most recently served as Chairman of the Division of Urology at Western from 2005-2019. He is also an Associate Scientist in the Clinical Research Division of the Lawson Health Research Institute.  

 

During his career, Dr. Razvi has held a number of leadership positions locally, nationally and internationally including: Western Urology Residency Program Director, President of the London Hospital’s Medical Staff Organization, Chair of the Canadian Urological Association (CUA) Research Scholarship Foundation, Chair of the CUA Guidelines Committee, Treasurer and President of the Northeastern Section of the American Urological Association (AUA), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Chief Examiner for Urology, President of the Canadian Urological Association, and member of thge Board of Directors of the Endourology Society and American Urological Association.

He is member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Endourology and Canadian Urological Association Journal. 

His clinical and research interests include the metabolic and surgical aspects of urinary stone disease, and surgical device development. He has authored or co-authored 18 book chapters, and published over 200 peer-review articles. He has held research grant support from the Canadian Kidney Foundation, the Canadian Urological Association Scholarship Foundation, the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the US Department of Defense (DOD).
