Professor James Voogt is situated in the Department of Geography and Environment at Western University. His research specializes in urban climatology, remote sensing, and boundary layer meteorology, with a focus on the urban heat island effect. He works to understand how surface temperatures in cities are influenced by land use and building geometry using thermal infrared imagery.
