Associate Professor Aleksandra Zecevic conducts research in the School of Health Studies at Western University. Her scholarly work focuses on gerontology, patient safety, and health systems, particularly the prevention of falls among older adults in community and institutional settings. She investigates the implementation of safety cultures in healthcare and the development of age-friendly environments. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, she is a researcher within the Bone and Joint Institute. She teaches courses on aging and health policy while supervising graduate students in the field of senior health, and she is currently available for student mentorship and research inquiries.
