BIO
Professor Susan Scollie is a prominent researcher in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western University. Her work focuses on hearing aid prescription, pediatric audiology, and signal processing, notably leading the development of the Desired Sensation Level (DSL) method. She seeks to improve the speech audibility and comfort of hearing technology for users of all ages. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, she is the Director of the National Centre for Audiology. She supervises diverse projects in clinical hearing science and is currently available for academic mentorship and doctoral student supervision.
