Professor Audra J. Bowlus is in the Department of Economics and affiliated with Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Western University. Her research specializes in applied labour, general equilibrium search theory and estimation, and human capital, with additional work connected to violence against women and children. She studies labour market dynamics, earnings inequality, skills, and productivity using rigorous empirical and theoretical approaches. Her research mission is to clarify how labour markets shape opportunity, inequality, and economic outcomes over the life course. She teaches labour and applied econometrics and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Iowa.
