BIO

Professor Christopher G. G. Ellis, Department of Medical Biophysics, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, is known for research in microcirculation, cellular biophysics, vascular biology, hemodynamics, and cardiovascular disease. His work sits within Western University’s microcirculation research community, which studies how the microcirculation functions in health and disease and how cellular and physical mechanisms shape vascular performance. His research mission is to deepen mechanistic understanding of the circulation at the smallest scales so that vascular disease can be better explained and addressed. He also serves as a co-director of the Vascular Biology Interdisciplinary Research Group.
