Professor Stephen D Williamson, Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Science, Western University, is Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Central Banking. His research centers on Monetary Economics, Macroeconomics, and Financial Economics, with a mission to explain how banking, money, and policy shape economic stability and welfare. He teaches Macroeconomics and is known for research on central bank digital currency, bank regulation, and monetary policy. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
