I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree, University of Western Ontario 1977, Doctor of Medicine, University of Western Ontario 1981, Rotating Internship, St. Joseph’s Hospital, London, Ontario, 1982, and Residency Training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, University of Ottawa, 1986. I was Staff Physician and Chief, University Hospital, London 1986-2002, Chair-Chief, PMR 2001-2012, and I have been a Staff Physican Parkwood Institute, St. Joseph’s Health Centre, 2002 to present. I have been Acting Chair from 1997-1999 and 2020-2024. Stroke Rehabilitation and Chronic Pain are my primary clinical specialties. I have also been a member of the Ontario and Canadian Stroke Strategies and lead of the 2015 and 2019 Canadian Stroke Rehabilitation Best Practice Guidelines.
