Professor Michael J. Borrie, Department of Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research in mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer disease, dementia, geriatric rehabilitation, and neuroimaging. His work investigates predictors of conversion from mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer disease and evaluates emerging treatments for dementia, while also addressing falls and rehabilitation in older adults. His research mission is to preserve cognition, function, and independence in aging populations through earlier detection and better interventions. He is Medical Director of the Aging Brain and Memory Clinic and contributes to Western University’s geriatric medicine teaching and clinical research programs.
