BIO

Professor David J. Hill, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, studies growth and development with emphasis on the prenatal human, insulin-like growth factors, fibroblast growth factors, transforming growth factor beta, and endocrine regulation. His research examines how hormones, growth factors, and nutritional availability interact during early development, using animal and human tissue culture systems to probe cellular mechanisms. His research mission is to clarify the biological control of prenatal growth and developmental programming. He brings this developmental biology perspective to Western University’s research and graduate training environment.
