Professor Robert J. DiSalle, Department of Philosophy, Western University, researches the history and philosophy of science, the foundations of modern physics, metaphysics, the epistemology of science, and space-time theories. His research mission is to connect the history of physics from Newton to the present with larger philosophical questions about representation, conceptual change, realism, and theory structure. DiSalle’s scholarship is especially influential in the study of space and time, and he continues to bring deep interdisciplinary expertise in physics and philosophy to Western University.
