BIO

Professor Anthony M. M. Jevnikar serves in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Western University. His research centers on transplant immunology and the molecular mechanisms of graft rejection and tissue injury. He investigates the role of apoptosis and inflammation in mediating renal damage and the development of novel immunotherapies to prolong transplant survival. His mission is to advance the understanding of immune-mediated disease through the study of cell signaling and molecular pathology. Dr. Jevnikar provides extensive supervision for graduate students and is a leader in transplant research at the Robarts Research Institute.
