BIO

I am a Canadian board-certified thoracic surgeon licensed in Ontario and Minnesota, practicing at London Health Sciences Centre and Assistant Professor in Thoracic Surgery, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in London, Ontario, while also serving as Chief Medical Advisor to the Lung Health Foundation (Canada). I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery.

I completed a medical degree at the University of Nottingham (UK), followed by surgical training at the University of Toronto, Western University, and the Mayo Clinic. I am trained as a surgeon-scientist and hold a PhD in health policy and management from the University of Toronto.

My clinical interest is in thoracic and esophageal cancer, which aligns with my academic focus on surgical outcomes and healthcare system improvement. I aim to drive impact through medical research, education, leadership, innovation, and community service. I especially enjoy teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.
