Professor Victor K. K. Han, Departments of Paediatrics, Biochemistry, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, is a clinician scientist whose research focuses on fetal development, placental growth, perinatal disease, low birth weight, and preeclampsia. He uses molecular biology, genomics, and proteomics to study gene-environment interactions in fetal and placental development and their long-term effects on child and adult health. His research mission is to explain how early developmental conditions shape lifelong outcomes. He also serves as Chair of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Director of the Children’s Health Research Institute.
