Dr. Shanil Narayan is a general internist with a reputation for being a brilliant clinician and diagnostician, who serves as the Chief for the Department of General Internal Medicine at Stratford General Hospital, a faculty member at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, and the Academic Director, Internal Medicine for the School’s Distributed Education Program. Dr. Narayan graduated with his MD from Queen’s University and completed his residency training in general internal medicine at the University of Ottawa. He is actively involved in medical education as a teacher, mentor and researcher. He is also the Regional Academic Director for the Huron Perth Academy, who has significantly impacted the community through his devotion to teaching and delivering exceptional patient care. His dedication extends to medical education research, with a recent project deploying an education platform for rural physicians caring for complex patients with heart failure.
