Zeau Ismail is the Executive VP, Corporate Services & Research at Hotel Dieu Shaver, bringing extensive experience in healthcare leadership and quality improvement. Their background demonstrates a commitment to enhancing patient care and operational effectiveness within complex healthcare environments.
During their tenure at Niagara Health, Zeau held several key leadership positions, including Director, Laboratory Medicine Services (Interim) and Director, Patient Care, Ambulatory Care, GI & Endoscopy (Interim). They also served as Director Lead, COVID-19 Assessment Centres and Vaccine Clinic, where they were responsible for establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external Niagara Regional stakeholders to develop and implement the three COVID-19 Assessment Centres responsible to assess and test the Niagara Region community. They also oversaw the smooth and efficient operation of the COVID-19 vaccine clinic which included the Seymour-Hannah Mass Vaccination Clinic. Earlier in their career with Niagara Health, Zeau served as Director, Interprofessional Practice, Ethics & Research, and as Manager, Quality & Patient Safety, contributing to the enhancement of the quality framework and promoting a great patient experience. Their work history includes a role as Quality & Patient Safety Advisor, further solidifying their expertise in clinical safety and service quality.
Prior to Niagara Health, Zeau served as Vice President (Region of Niagara Health Unit) at CUPE, advocating for workers who deliver public services. Their work history also includes a role as Mental Health Occupational Therapist at Niagara Region, applying their knowledge of mental health practices to support community well-being.
Zeau's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master of Business Administration from Niagara University, a Master of Science from D'Youville College, and a Bachelor of Arts from Brock University.
